Quiet hours and opt-outs
Why a text can be held until morning, and what opt-out wording is required.
Mosaic checks every text before it goes. These are the two checks people ask about most.
Quiet hours
Marketing texts aren't sent between 7pm and 7am in the contact's local time. If you try to send during quiet hours, the Text panel tells you when quiet hours end, for example "Quiet hours until 7:00am tomorrow", and the message waits until then.
If a contact has no time zone set, Mosaic uses the brand's local time.
When you really have to send during quiet hours, click Override quiet hours.
Opt-out wording
Every marketing text needs:
- Your business name, so people know who is texting.
- An opt-out line, for example "Reply STOP to opt out".
If either is missing, Mosaic shows a warning with a button to add it. Service texts, which are factual replies with no promotions, don't need an opt-out line.
Emails
Marketing emails need an unsubscribe link. Mosaic won't approve an email without one.
